Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra
Announces the programme
For children 7-12 years old
This innovative program undertakes and supports the prime musical socialization of children through a scientifically designed, integrated cycle of music performance practice in ensembles.
All children selected to participate in the program will participate in the following ensembles:
- Ensembles: Percussion or brass or woodwinds or strings
- Rhythmic education
- Vocal Workshop and Children’s Choir of the Cyprus Youth Symphony
- Basic Music Theory
Through this system, children:
- acquire high-level musical education from tutors selected through competition
- integrate into musical ensembles and socialize with other talented children, developing collaborative and orchestral skills
- participate in concerts and other activities
Participation is compulsory for all fellowships of the CyYSO Academy (ages 7-12), and the program is open to all children from all over Cyprus.
Prerequisites: any child may attend the program, given he/she has attended instrumental lessons for at least one year in any institution/organization/music school.
Classes are held every Saturday at the Acropolis Lyceum in Nicosia from 9:30 to 13:30.
Tuition Fee: € 50 / month
*Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra’s tuition exemption policy will be sent to you via email after your registration
Transportation for children from other cities will be provided for free with the orchestra’s shuttle service.
