Bringing the joy of music close to the people in villages and communities is a mission close to the heart of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra! This May, the Orchestra tours six amazing venues around Cyprus performing a fantastic programme!
Under the direction of the uprising Greek maestro Ioanna Vlagkouli, the CySO musicians will present a gorgeous, varied “musical bouquet” of zestful, whimsical, energising and passionate music! From the wittiness and vivaciousness of opera overtures, to Bizet’s passionate Spanish Seguidilla and Habanera from Carmen, from entertaining orchestral hits by Leroy Anderson to the sultry rhythms of Piazzolla’s Libertango and spirited traditional dances of Europe and Cyprus, this festive programme promises to spread invigorating vibes and get you up on your feet!
In collaboration with Tala Community Council, the Dromolaxia – Meneou Municipality, the Paralimni – Deryneia Municipality, Peristerona Community Council, the South Nicosia – Idalion Municipality and Galata Community Council and the Communities of the Solea Complex.
