For the first time in this millennium, the world-renowned ballet “Zorba the Greek” comes to life in Cyprus in a breathtaking open-air production at the majestic Pafos Medieval Castle — featuring a live symphony orchestra, full chorus, and international ballet stars. Join over 150 performers for two unforgettable nights under the Mediterranean sky, where music, dance, and Greek soul unite in one of the island’s most iconic settings.
The ballet “Zorba the Greek”, set to the unforgettable music of Mikis Theodorakis and choreography by Lorca Massine, based on the novel by Nikos Kazantzakis, premiered at the Arena di Verona in 1988. This premiere proved to be exceptionally significant, as the work was presented in one of the world’s most iconic opera venues, uniting the Greek spirit with international audiences through dance and music. Ever since, the production has achieved tremendous global success, with hundreds of performances in over 35 countries.
