Join the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra for a special musical evening in the heart of Dali! The three gorgeous masterpieces that make up the programme are inspired by the beauty of nature and a Norwegian folk legend. The excellent Cypriot conductor Andreas Asiikkis will lead the orchestra, and share with the audience some enlightening nuggets about the music.
Smetana’s ‘Vltava’ (The Moldau) will sweep you along the river’s shimmering journey, while selected movements from Beethoven’s ‘Pastoral’ Symphony bring to life scenes of rustic joy, turbulent storms, and peaceful renewal. Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suites – music composed for the famous play – will delight with its characteristic vivid Nordic colours and unforgettable melodies.
