The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra is organizing a highly prestigious International Masterclass and Competition for opera singers, in collaboration with the ARTE Music Academy. The event offers prestigious prizes and scholarships (€8,000 and €3,000), as well as opportunities for collaboration with leading cultural organizations in Cyprus and abroad.
Under the guidance of the Artistic Director and Chief Conductor of the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra, Myron Michailidis, and the internationally renowned Cypriot baritone Kyros Patsalides, young opera singers will have outstanding opportunities for artistic development and professional exposure.
In addition to active participants, applications will also be accepted – subject to the terms and conditions of the regulations – from individuals who wish to attend as passive participants, i.e. without active participation) all stages of the Masterclass and Competition.
The finalists will emerge after several demanding rounds of evaluation, and will take the stage alongside the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra under the baton of distinguished conductor Yiorgos Kountouris, presenting the culmination of this creative journey and competing for one of the Competition’s three prestigious prizes.
An evening filled with operatic passion, outstanding artistry and the excitement of competition, with the winners to be announced after the concert.

Students, soldiers, pensioners, members of large families and families with three dependent children, upon presentation of the relevant supporting document.
Free Admission:
Unemployed persons, recipients of the Guaranteed Minimum Income (GMI) and persons with disabilities. Seating for persons with disabilities is limited.
