Giuseppe Verdi: La Traviata
Libretto: Francesco Maria Piave
One of the most moving operas of the Romantic repertoire, Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata comes to life in a fully staged production by the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, presented through an imaginative and innovative directorial vision of Egli Spyridaki and under the Artistic Direction of Yiorgos Kountouris.
The production brings together an outstanding cast of Cypriot opera artists, combining the experience of acclaimed performers with the freshness and enthusiasm of emerging talents. The leading roles are performed by internationally acclaimed Cypriot baritone Kyros Patsalides and the rising, exceptionally gifted soprano Eleni Charalambous. The choral parts are performed by the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra Choir under the direction of Loizos Loizou, while the Nicosia Youth Ballet joins the production, adding a further dimension of movement and theatrical expression.
An ambitious and pioneering production, La Traviata promises to transport audiences into a world of passion, sacrifice, and profound emotion, offering an unforgettable experience both for devoted opera lovers and for those discovering the magic of opera for the very first time.
